“We stayed in a cottage in Moloa’a down near the beach. Stand is at the end of the main road on the ‘highway’. Its always busy. Best smoothies on the planet, I kid you not. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Mahalo!” GJAM2, Washington DC
“Having smoothies here was literally the most perfect thing after doing the Kalalau trail! Feeling tired and achy, it was a great pick-me-up. The unspoiled view of the mountains are unreal for a roadside eatery (and definitely not something you see often on Oahu). Small and unassuming, they offer a lot from food to juice. There was even kids studying on the tables outside.
They also offer a nice selection of fresh produce. Funny that they were selling star fruit when the tree in the yard was going crazy however. There was so much on the ground! You could probably just give it away and still have plenty.
Anyhow, we were super glad we stopped in and gulped our smoothies down. Another fantastic little local place on Kauai. Would love to stop in again and get food next time – it all looked good.” Naomi L. New Orleans, LA
It’s on the east side of the road – brown and red food stand/shack. We ordered the Avocado Salad and Tropical Fruit Bowl. Absolutely fresh all natural food. Topped it off with a fresh banana shake and banana/pineapple/papaya fruit frostie (just frozen fruit…nothing else). Yum!
Fast service, locals eat here, and all major credit cards welcome. Greg S. San Angelo, TX
“Breakfast is light and includes bagels, granola, smoothies, coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, and, of course, tropical-style fresh juices (pineapple, carrot, watermelon, guava, even sugarcane, in season). This is also a great spot to get out and stretch, take in the mountain view, and pick up sandwiches to go. What makes this fruit stand different is the fresh, natural ingredients like multigrain breads and nori (seaweed) wraps”. Fodor
“The nicest thing about driving between Anahola and Kilauea besides the frequent rainbows one might catch along the horizon is the Moloa’a Fruit stand. It’s even fun to say once you figure out how to pronounce it. Muh Low Ah Ah. and the smoothies are Mmmm mm, ah ahhh. Also the salads, and all really at the best prices we’d found. It’s a nice little pit stop in between towns and on the edge of a farm where on occasion a straggling hitch hiker will wander off from. But there is a bus that stops right there that is if you left your rental car at the airport. Enjoy your farm fresh treats!” Emily C, New York
“Best smoothies on the island! Do yourself a favor and stop at this stand on the side of the highway to get their “date with fate” smoothie. It is amazing and we have never had anything like it before! Mmm, still thinking about it.” Munmei, Pennsylvania
“Stopped here twice during my recent vacation to Kauai and loved it! They have a great selection of fresh smoothies, sandwiches, wraps, and more. I loved the Acai bowl and it was big enough to share with my husband! They filled it with fresh pineapple, papaya, and banana….as well as granola and a drizzle of honey. YUM!! Also, be sure to grab one of their amazing cookies! They were so good, I bought several to bring home with me. The chocolate chip mac nut was the best. Definitely a winner in my opinion!” Anon.
